To use this software, minimum requirements are
Microsoft Windows PC with
Microsoft Excel® 2000 or later,
java run time environment, JRE. If not
installed get it from here..http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Unzip all the fies in attached(XLCapitalGains.zip) zip file to your PC.
After unzipping XLCapitalGains directory will be created like for ex:
c:\XLCapitalGains\..
Click on c:\XLCapitalGains\XLCapitalGains.Exe
in the installed directory.
Application GUI pops up.
Input file required for the application should be an excel file.
Open attached TestTransaction.xls for reference.
The first sheet named as transaction, contains all transactions
in the below format.
The second sheet contains the current
market price for each stock.
(Refer to TestTransaction.xls in the attached zip file)
The transaction sheet
should contain entries in the below format.

Save the excel file.
Using Application:
- Launch the ExcelCapitalGains application by double clicking on it
from where you have installed.
- Load input transaction file using Browse button.
- Click on Compute
Button.
- The computed result sheet
will be opened.
The
demo version of the software work with particular stocks only, like
ICICIBANK,HDFC, RIL,CROMPTON, BHARTI , POWERGRIDand report size.
When you
purchase the
software does not have limitations on the stocks & report size.
In the full version,
- application works
for all Stocks & MF.
- dividend
income addition as a part of
realised gain.
- one
more sheet to enter check
inward/outward to compute the final earnings.
- brokerage
& other expenses as a part of acquiring/selling stock.
